Edward Strambaugh, PhD
Philosophy: Every individual's greatest strength is at once their greatest weakness through
excessive or inappropriate  application.

Relationships:  Through attraction mother nature draws together individuals with very different basic
abilities and sensitivities for the sake of the physical and emotional health of their potential
offspring. Our willingness to compromise and complement these differences in one another makes
of us more successful partners and parents.

Obstacles:  Our emotional defenses against fear serve to keep us exactly where we are as life
moves on around us.

Psychotherapeutic Goals:  Foster the fulfillment of every individual's potential, encourage faith in
oneself and independence in the face of life's challenges.

With 30 years experience as a university professor, mental health center director, researcher,
corporate consultant and private practitioner treating children, adolescents, couples, families and
seniors, and a committed concern focused on the worth of individual differences, I would be
pleased to chat with you regarding your concerns.
